Hi there, let’s get this thing started back up 💪.
First, I want to highlight a few unique and cool roles that have popped up recently and share some recent workplace reads.
Second, I have a personal goal to grow this community to 100 people by the end of the year. So if you think someone might enjoy this content, please send it their way.
If you know someone looking for a new role, please send this their way!
Onto the update!
Open Role Highlight
🏗️ Workplace Manager, Flexport (Atlanta)
Flexport is hiring for a Workplace Manager reporting to Allison Sawyer, who is fantastic, and will be based in Atlanta.
Flexport is one of my favorite companies and does incredible work in the supply chain world.
Additional open roles
📺 Senior Director of Workplace Experience, Roku (Boston)
My TV hardware of choice is looking for leadership in Boston.
"…establish a "build-for-the-future vision" and related goals and team values to reimagine office and space orientation, strengthening hybrid approaches to the work environment."
I have to say; I love that 🐟 aquarium screensaver on my Roku.
💳 Program Manager, Office Buildouts, Stripe (Toronto, Canada)
💳 Program Manager, Office Buildouts, Stripe (Remote, Canada)
Both on-site (Toronto) and Remote options! That’s a first for me.
…you will own our Office Buildouts Program, focused on managing the implementation of internal technology (AV, Networking, and IT Peripherals) in multiple new Stripe offices simultaneously...including the construction of new offices, office moves, and office decommissions.
🔖 What I’m Reading
Structured Hybrid takes the lead, via Flex Report from Scoop
I found this via Nick Bloom, who is a must-follow on LinkedIn.
Cisco rebrands offices to Experience Centers
“Part product showcase, part employee meeting spot, part recruiting hub”
In Atlanta, 90% of the center’s square footage is for meetings, communal gathering or team-based work, and just 10% is reserved for individual work, down from 30% in its New York space. “We used a lot of that data here to influence some of the space designs,” Cicero says. “Things are happening in small groups. It's five seats or less.”
I hope to build momentum into the summer and share more workplace trends, tactics, opportunities, and stories.
👋 See you soon.
