Happy Sunday, everyone 👋
I wanted to share a quick, and upbeat (!) note on what I’m thinking about and what I plan to share on this newsletter.
In short: how can a GTM person (sales, marketing) build in this new world, and create value as the old models are being disrupted, and fast.
This is the most excited I have been about the tech space in a decade.
Examples, just because people love examples:
“Vibe Coding” where anyone can build something without knowing how to code, just chatting.
What I’m calling “Home Coding” which is to build super custom apps for your own use, or your homes use.
Massive GTM role disruption. Rinse-and-repeat work by AI means roles like SDR/BDR, junior marketing roles, are going to drastically change in the coming quarters.
I’m finding that the new products, business models and general disruption to be moving faster than anything I’ve ever seen. I’m 35, I imagine this was what it felt like to see the Internet start to take shape in the 90’s.
If the computer is a bicycle for the mind, these tools are like getting an e-bike.
I’ve started to build and share (silly) projects, like a fake menu with an AI sommelier who gives you a wine recommendation. Each time I build something, I learn something new, even with not-so-serious ideas.
With all of this change, I want to encourage people to start building now, become familiar, start to develop their own perspectives.
I hope you have a great Sunday and start to your week, talk soon.
Brendan
